    Design Daily 09 A Boy & His Dragon. Today’s daily design was pretty spontaneous, and I know I could have comped it better but it was more a test of speed than finesse. I found everything and put this one together in about 25 minutes.

    Design Daily 08 Lost in Space. So, this design daily isn’t the same vector style that I’ve been doing recently but I wanted to do some compositing today and somehow space became a theme, so I ran with it. As much as I’m enjoying doing the vector styled things, I miss this kinda stuff too.

    Design Daily 01 Today at work, while I had some down time I figured out what I wanted to do for my daily design project - minimalistic vector illustrations. I had opened up illustrator and made a little scene of mountains and I had just simply enjoyed the entire process of making it. In the end I scrapped it because there were a few obvious flaws, but I knew I had stumbled upon gold. So taking a step back and starting out small, my very first Design Daily is of a very well known cartoon character… I’ll leave it up to you to guess who he is ;). At some point, I hope to somehow create my own unique illustration style and eventually implement it into a video or even a video game (Shapes & Sound: The Shape Shooter is out on Android now!).

    Design Daily_00

    A few days ago I posted that I was going to do a daily 1 second animation. I started and I realized that I simply just don’t have the time to do it and it would have been more frustrating than fun. So, after a lot of deliberation, I found something better to do :). I’ve always been intrigued by vector illustrations, and so I’m going to make a daily illustration instead of a video in my own little illustrated minimalistic style.

    Follow me as I embark on my journey and witness me grow :). I am excited.

    March Madness (Update: No Bueno)

    I’ve decided that I’m going to do an animation project for march. Everyday I’m going to animate 1 second of vector animation giving me an entire 30 second video by the end of it. I’m sure some days I’ll do something that’ll look like poop, but I must get at least 10 seconds total of gold.

    Look out for it in April :). none of the above. I tried and it was no fun. I found something more fun to do instead :).

    Welcome To The Jungle

    Today is my first official day as a Freelance Motion Graphics Designer & Animator in NYC, and I couldn’t be more excited. I was initially set on trying to get a full time job, but when that never worked out as plan, this became my reality. I must say, I was very scared at first due to how uncertain freelance can be, but with confidence in myself and especially with God, my friends and family behind me, I can make it work beautifully. I plan to.

    Cheers to new beginnings and amazing things ahead :)
